Project Description: The project will accomplish an educational site along the Douglas Marsh that will educate on wetlands and native prairies along with providing a safe place to view the yellow rail that is present in the marsh.

Project Name: Cypress River Wetland Trail Enhancement.
Project Description: The Cypress River Wetland Trail Enhancement project will upgrade the existing wetland boardwalk and create new hiking trails to increase the accessibility and enhance the experience of the trail for all park users. This project will allow for increased interpretive programming for school groups through the creation of an onsite classroom area which will allow all park users to get up close and personal with the wetland.

Project Name:Pinkerton Lakes Wildlife Refuge Trail Restoration.
Project Description: The La Salle Redboine CD will construct small boardwalk sections & raised bed pathways across the wet sections of the Pinkerton Lakes Wildlife Refuge Trail to allow for year-round use, better accessibility to all trail users, & more efficient maintenance efforts. This will allow for more educational events like school hikes, Scout campouts, water festivals. The project will be completed and given a grand reopening with the hosting of the 2020 Manitoba Envirothon South Regional event.

Project Name: Indigenous Youth Leadership for Lake Winnipeg.
Project Description: The “Indigenous Youth Leadership for Lake Winnipeg” project aims to inspire, mentor, support and strengthen emerging Indigenous youth leaders in the health and sustainability of Lake Winnipeg and the greater watershed. Young people will be provided with the tools, resources and mentorship needed to lead on-the-ground projects to protect water, participate in key decision-making gatherings, and learn their traditional laws and ways of being on the land.

Project Description: A self-guided canoe trail at Oak Hammock Marsh will engage and educate visitors as to the importance of wetlands and associated uplands in an immersive and memorable experience.

Project Name: Conservation of Natural ecosystems through Education at the Binney Nature Preserve.
Project Description: This project will enhance the public's access to nature at the Binney Nature Preserve by providing a new boardwalk that allows for access to half to the park's trails and infrastructure.

Project Description: The Seine River Greenspace Enhancement Project- Connecting People to The Seine will improve people’s connection and access to the Seine river with a dock for canoes and kayaks.

Project Description: The Nature & You project will address the need for Manitobans to be more connected to natural areas in their province, and to increase understanding of the conservation of these areas. The project will engage Manitobans in a variety of interactive hands-on programs for diverse audiences that are relevant to their communities and locations.

Project Name: Interactive Youth Program with Wildlife Haven: Wildlife Stewardship and Environmental Responsibility.
Project Description: Wildlife Haven Education Centre will offer school aged children, community groups and families the opportunity to see nature up close. Our campus has a naturalized wetland, a tall grass prairie garden and fruit orchard for visitors to experience along with our wildlife ambassadors. Our curriculum is STEM-based with a focus on wildlife protection & hand-on activities focused on Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics. Our goal, to bring awareness of the importance of nature to residents.
