Project Name: Indigenous Youth Storytelling Project

Project Description: The Indigenous Youth Storytelling Program honours the strengths of Indigenous ways of knowing and supports an environmental interpretive movement that reframes nature from natural resource to living relation through storytelling. This program will support 32 Indigenous youth over 2 years in connecting with the land and sharing that connection through storytelling with an estimated 3000 visitors to Assiniboine Park and its website.

Project Name: Connecting Manitobans to Nature – Outdoor Learning Program

Project Description: The CPAWS Manitoba Outdoor Learning Program was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which created an urgent need to support educators and parents seeking safe ways to engage children and youth. This flexible program was designed to be delivered by educators, parents or CPAWS staff. With Conservation Trust support, CPAWS will expand online resources and deliver interpretive programs for thousands of school children, families and adults interested in our natural world.

Project Name: Indigenous Tall Grass Prairie Enhancement and Conservation through Community-based Stewardship

Project Description: Seven Oaks School Division's "Indigenous Tall Grass Prairie Enhancement and Conservation through Community-based Stewardship" project will enhance tall grass prairie establishment and increase diversity across 30-acres and will conserve 5-acres of remnant prairie. Interpretive signage will be designed to improve self-guided orientation and learning on site and to enrich experiential land-based learning opportunities.
