Project Name: Fisher River Cree Nation Conservation Areas Initiative
Project Description: Our goal is to protect the southeastern Interlake's thriving natural landscape so it can continue to provide sustainable economic opportunities and to support cherished lifestyles.
We will accomplish this by designing a realistic, balanced conservation proposal for a 1.1 million ha study area which accounts for regional interests and values.The initiative is led by Fisher River Cree Nation in partnership with Peguis First Nation and the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.

Project Name: Building Resiliency in the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region
Project Description: The project will help prioritize natural infrastructure (NI) investment in Treaty 1 Territory by determining NI co-benefit value-for-money by combining eco-regional-scale hydrographic analysis over ~45,900 km2, natural asset data, and hydrological models incorporating climate change scenarios. Results will be communicated via a web portal identifying regional climate risk and NI opportunities for resiliency planning where Winnipeg Metropolitan Region and Treaty 1 Nations will be engaged on the outputs of the project.
